Thaicom Public Company Limited (SET: THCOM) has officially notified the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) of a complete corporate rebranding, changing its name to Gulf Space Technology Public Company Limited and adopting the new securities symbol GST.
Following EGM approval, the company completed formal registration of the new name with the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, on 17 September 2026.
According to the official notification on 22 September 2026, the key changes are as follows:
- English Name: Changed from Thaicom Public Company Limited to Gulf Space Technology Public Company Limited.
- Securities Trading Symbol: Changed from THCOM to GST.
- Corporate Seal / Logo: Replaced the previous Thaicom emblem with a double-ellipse seal featuring Gulf Space Technology in the center, flanked by the company’s full Thai and English legal names around the outer border.
The company stated that the official effective date for the stock symbol transition on the SET will take place in accordance with the regulations of the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
In late 2022, Gulf Development (SET: GULF) expanded its footprint into the satellite and digital infrastructure sectors by acquiring a controlling stake in satellite operator Thaicom directly from Intouch Holdings.
Following this initial purchase, GULF’s subsidiary, Gulf Edge, launched a tender offer that further increased its total stake in Thaicom to 41.14%, officially taking over anchor control of the satellite firm from Intouch. This move paved the way for a major consolidation in 2024–2025, during which GULF and Intouch fully amalgamated into a single listed flagship entity, Gulf Development, consolidating their energy, telecommunications, and digital assets under one roof.
