B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM), one of Thailand’s major private power producers and energy leaders, and GE Vernova Inc., a U.S.-based global energy infrastructure company, have strengthened their long-standing partnership through the signing of two key agreements covering power generation and energy infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
The agreements were signed during Gastech 2026, the world’s largest exhibition and conference for the natural gas, LNG, low-carbon energy and AI-for-energy industries, held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangna.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy James Danly and U.S. Ambassador to Thailand Sean O’Neill. Dr. Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm Power, and Yew Wei Nan, General Manager for South Asia and the Pacific at GE Vernova, signed the agreements on behalf of the two companies.
The agreements underscore the close cooperation between the United States and Thailand in strengthening regional energy infrastructure, while also marking further progress in the partnership between B.Grimm Power and GE Vernova.
Under the first agreement, GE Vernova will supply one 9HA.02 gas turbine and generator for a new 750-megawatt independent power producer (IPP) combined-cycle cogeneration project in Malaysia. B.Grimm Power will own and develop the project.
The second agreement covers a 14-year service contract for five GE Vernova LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbines at B.Grimm BIP Power 1 and 2 plants in Thailand. The long-term service agreement is intended to support the equipment’s operational performance and enhance the reliability of energy assets that are important to Thailand’s power system.
The expanded partnership combines B.Grimm Power’s regional operating expertise with GE Vernova’s advanced gas turbine technology and global service capabilities. It also represents another step in B.Grimm Power’s strategy to expand its business internationally.
The cooperation highlights the role of U.S.-Thai partnerships in supporting efficient and reliable energy infrastructure across Southeast Asia, while helping ensure the long-term operational performance of power assets serving Thailand’s industrial sector and electricity system.
