CP Group and True Corp Target ‘AI-First’ Shift Through Workforce Transformation

True Corporation and CP Group are embarking on a major corporate transformation to become “AI-first” enterprises, but achieving lasting competitive advantage will require changing legacy mindsets rather than merely purchasing technology.

Speaking at the CP Innovation Exposition 2026 during a keynote session titled “You and I Transformation in the AI Era,” Mr Sigve Brekke, Executive Chair of the Telecommunications and Digital Business Group of CP Group and Group CEO of Trie Corporation, outlined the group’s overarching strategy to move beyond basic automation toward deep business reinvention.

While global artificial intelligence capacity doubles at a rapid pace, Mr. Sigve noted that most regional companies remain stuck using AI for simple search replacement or basic efficiency use cases. However, global benchmark studies indicate that legacy firms fully embedding AI into their core operating models achieve faster growth than competitors.

Addressing widespread employee anxieties regarding automation and potential job displacement, Mr. Sigve stressed that AI implementation is intended to augment human productivity rather than cut headcount. To drive this cultural shift, True Corporation has committed to upskilling 100 percent of its workforce within the next year, equipping employees across finance, human resources, and core operations with tailored digital skills.

Beyond technical training, Mr. Sigve detailed a fundamental shift in organizational dynamics, moving away from rigid corporate pyramids toward an “hourglass” structural model where senior management and AI-native talent collaborate directly. To execute this vision, True is decentralizing operations by deploying automated, real-time data applications to 6,000 localized management zones. These localized units will receive actionable insights and recommendations derived from real-time customer, sales, and network data.

Closing his address, Mr. Sigve called on corporate leaders to instil a shared sense of urgency—a “burning platform”—while aligning their organizations around a clear, ambitious “North Star”. True transformation, he concluded, cannot rely on isolated initiatives but demands unified action across every layer of the enterprise.
