SET Index Falls on DELTA Pressure, Traders Eye 3Q26 Earnings

On Wednesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,546.45 points, showing a decrease of 8.49 points or 0.55%, with a trading value of THB 39.49 billion.

FSS International Investment Advisory Securities (FSSIA) stated that the Thai stock market showed a stronger-than-anticipated decline this morning, with some moments of rebound. The index was pressured by DELTA, following concerns about the upcoming 3Q26 earnings reports, which some expect may be lower than expected.

Domestically, there was a lack of fresh drivers to support the market. Meanwhile, the recently released earnings of the banking sector came in largely as expected, with KKP performing better and BBL falling short of estimates.

In the afternoon session, the Thai bourse is projected to fluctuate in negative territory, with support expected at 1,535-1,540 points and resistance at 1,555-1,560 points.
