On Wednesday, Thailand’s SET Index closed the morning trading session at 1,571.48 points, showing a decrease of 3.54 points or 0.22%, with a trading value of THB 40.00 billion.
Bualuang Securities (BLS) wrote that the Thai stock market declined in the morning, pressured by significant selling in DELTA after the company’s third-quarter 2026 earnings came in below expectations, causing the share price to fall and weigh on the overall index.
Additionally, shares in the oil and refinery sectors also moved lower following a decline in oil prices and a THB 2-per-litre reduction in ex-refinery diesel prices. However, there was continued buying interest in banking and selected electronic component stocks, which helped support the index, despite the absence of new positive drivers.
Looking ahead, the Thai stock market is expected to trade range-bound in the afternoon session, with investors monitoring the outcome of the Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting. The resistance level is set at 1,585 points and support at 1,560 points.
