Market Roundup 2 November 2026

Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,507.20 points, decreasing by 11.39 points or 0.75%, with a trading value of THB 55.79 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market faced pressure from both DELTA’s share price dropping below the 200-baht threshold and PTTEP leading the energy sector’s retreat.

Meanwhile, market participants continue to monitor U.S. midterm elections, as well as Middle East tensions.

For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to continue moving sideways with volatility. Despite easing downside from the SET Index reaching the key 1,500 barrier, upside for the benchmark remains limited. As such, the analyst recommends investors closely monitor fund flows in both pre- and post-U.S. elections.

Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group (KKP) highlighted that the global economy continues to face heightened uncertainty stemming from political factors, trade policy directions, and rising public debt burdens across major economies—particularly the United States.

Surging maritime transit fees and ongoing international hostilities are forcing several investment banks to raise their medium-term crude oil price benchmarks. UBS now projects Brent crude will trade at $110 per barrel by the end of 2026, while Goldman Sachs has lifted its December forecast to $105 per barrel.

These revisions signal that investment banks are pricing in longer-lasting physical supply vulnerabilities and elevated logistical expenditures across key transport corridors.
