GST Ensures Uninterrupted Service for Clients Amid THAICOM 4 Satellite De-Orbiting

Gulf Space Technology Public Company Limited (SET: GST) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) regarding the notification received from National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) that NT will cease the service of the THAICOM 4 satellite on 8 November 2026 and commence the de-orbiting of the satellite from 9 November 2026 onwards.

The THAICOM 4 satellite was delivered, and its ownership was transferred by the company to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, which subsequently assigned NT to manage, oversee, and utilize the satellite. GST, in its capacity as an engineering expert, has been providing assistance to NT in the control and operation of the THAICOM 4 and THAICOM 6 satellites pursuant to the agreement for the engagement of Professional Engineering Analysis And Satellite Engineering System Management Agreement, including providing assistance and support for the de-orbiting of the THAICOM 4 satellite. The de-orbiting plan has already been presented to the Coordinating Committee for the management and administration rights agreement of the satellite communication project within the country.

GST has made the necessary preparations to ensure continuity of services for customers following the deorbiting of the THAICOM 4 satellite. GST has allocated satellite capacity on other satellites operated by the company and its subsidiaries, for which the relevant authorizations have been obtained for the affected customers, enabling them to continue receiving services until a new satellite becomes available. Accordingly, the de-orbiting of the THAICOM 4 satellite will not affect the continuity of services provided to the company’s customers.
