In the statement published through the Stock Exchange of Thailand, AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Pcl stated that pursuant to the announcement of the Bank of Thailand accusing AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited (the “Company”) of non-compliance with regulations on Market Conduct relating to customer data privacy, business operation supervision, and fair and sincere services. The Company would like to clarify as follows:
1) In the insurance broker business undertaking, the insurance agreements between the Company and the insurance companies have been executed. The customer contact is under the Company’s supervision in accordance with the Company’s Information Security Management System. In regard to offering insurance products, the consents from some customers have been obtained incompletely.
2) The Company recognizes the importance of Market Conduct by obtaining the complete consent from customers accordingly. Additionally, the Company has educated employees to strictly adhere to the above Market Conduct. Therefore, the Company continues operating the insurance broker business as usual.
