The share prices of Thai stocks related to tourism mostly increased in the morning session in response to a positive sentiment of welcoming the first batch of tour groups from China.
The Chinese government earlier lifted restrictions on tour guides in the country, allowing companies to bring a group tour to other countries including Thailand. This would further stimulate the Thai tourism sector on top of independent travellers. Tour groups from China contributed to 40% of pre-pandemic Chinese tourists.
The share price of Airports of Thailand Plc. (SET: AOT) rose THB0.25 or 0.34% to THB74.00 per share.
The Erawan Group Plc. (SET: ERW) gained THB0.08 or 1.67% to THB4.86 per share.
Central Plaza Hotel Plc. (SET: CENTEL) increased THB0.75 or 1.42% to THB53.50 per share.
Asset World Corp Plc. (SET: AWC) hiked THB0.05 or 0.86% to THB5.85 per share.
Asia Aviation Plc. (SET: AAV) edged THB0.02 or 0.65% higher to THB3.08 per share
Bangkok Aviation Plc. (SET: BA) rose THB0.1 or 0.69% to THB14.50 per share.
Meanwhile, Minor International Plc. (SET: MINT) was flat at THB33.75 per share.
