ITD Signs Contract for Thailand-China High-Speed Railway Project Worth THB9.45 Billion

Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited announced on Monday that the company under the name of ITD – CREC No.10 JV (Italian-Thai Development Pcl. – China Railway No. 10 Engineering group Co., Ltd. Joint Venture) signed a contract with the State Railway of Thailand to proceed with the Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Bangkok – Nong Khai High – Speed Railway Development for regional (Section I: Bangkok – Nakhon Ratchasima) Contract 3-1 Civil works for sections between Kaeng Khoi – Klang Dong and between Pang Asok – Bandai Ma for THB 9,348,995,700 (Including VAT).

The construction work included: 1) Building a railway structure with a length of 30.21 kilometers long, alongside at-grade railway structures of about 10.18 kilometers long and elevated railway structures of about 20.03 kilometers long. 2) Construction of nine structures and buildings to support the operation of electric systems. 3) Relocation of existing rail and station structures; improvement and relocation of existing road; construction of railway bridge and drainage system; and removal and relocation of existing utilities. 4) Construction work continued on sections between Klang Dong and Pang Asoke per Contract 1-1 Civil Works. Construction of fences and maintenance of railway structures of the Department of Highways. 

The work is expected to complete within 1,080 days.
