MSCI has announced new additions and deletions of its weighing indexes, which will take effect at the closing of November 30, 2023. The list is as follows;
MSCI Global Standard
Addition: None
Deletion: BGRIM, EGCO, RATCH
MSCI Global Small Cap
Addition: BGRIM, EGCO, RATCH
Deletion: ACE, ASK, KEX, ONEE, RAM, SABUY, TFG, TTA, VIBHA
The next revision and announcement will be on February 12, 2024.
Tisco Securities noted that the announcement could post slightly negative sentiment to WHA, TU and CENTEL as the market expected them to be included in this revision.
As for BGRIM, EGCO and RATCH, Tisco sees limited impact due to only being moved to the Small Cap Index.
