BGRIM Jumps 3% after Announcing COD of 140MW Cogen Power Plants

In the Monday morning session, B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) stock price rose as much as 2.9% or THB 0.75 from 25.5 to 26.25 high after the company announced its commercial operation of a new combined-cycle cogeneration power plant with an installed capacity of 140 megawatts via the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) published its announcement via the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to inform that B.Grimm Power (Angthong) 3 Limited (BGPAT3), a subsidiary of B.Grimm Power (holding 70.0% of total shares), commenced its commercial operation of new combined-cycle cogeneration power plant with an installed capacity of 140 megawatts and started supplying electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) since 1 December 2023.

BGPAT3 project is the power plant operated with advanced technology and high efficiency, located in S Industrial Estate Angthong. It has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with EGAT with a contracted capacity of 90 megawatts while the remaining capacity is used for supplying electricity and steam to industrial users under the long-term agreements.

This year, B.Grimm Power has increased its operating capacity from 7 projects, totaling 632 megawatts. Currently, B.Grimm Power commercially operates with a total capacity of 3,970 megawatts from a total secured Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of 4,268 megawatts.
