Gulf Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on July 14, 2025, Gulf Edge Services Company Limited (Gulf Edge Services) acquired an additional 10% stake in AIS Broadband Company Limited (AISBB) from Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (SET: ADVANC), representing a total investment value of THB 100,000. The share transfer has been completed, resulting in Gulf Edge Services and ADVANC each holding an equal stake of 50% in AISBB.
AISBB is a provider of advanced cloud services in Thailand, offering both public cloud solutions that are widely accessible and private air-gapped cloud systems that are completely disconnected from public internet networks.
AISBB collaborates with global technology leaders to deliver cutting-edge cloud services, such as Oracle Alloy, which serves as the public cloud platform for both government and private sector seeking cloud-based computing and data management solutions, and is already in operation.
Meanwhile, Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped, a highly stable and secure cloud service, targets government entities and industries that require the storage and processing of sensitive or confidential data. Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped is scheduled to launch in 2026.
In addition, AISBB plans to expand its offerings to include artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to address business challenges and enhance operational efficiency, along with other digital services. These initiatives will leverage the combined strengths of both companies, including their customer base, resources, and expertise, to meet the diverse needs of various industries and jointly drive the growth of Thailand’s cloud and digital services sector in response to rapidly increasing digital demand.
Furthermore, AISBB is currently considering a name change to better align with its strategic direction and mission, aiming to reflect its role as a comprehensive provider of cloud and digital services. Once finalized, the Company will inform the Stock Exchange of Thailand and shareholders accordingly.
Early on, GULF has collaborated with ADVANC to jointly develop digital businesses across multiple dimensions through the development of infrastructure, network integration, and the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance Thailand’s digital capabilities to meet global standards.
Key initiatives include the development of data center businesses and cloud services. For the cloud business, the company has invested jointly with ADVANC in AISBB, in which the Company held a 40% indirect stake through Gulf Edge Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, while ADVANC held the remaining 60%.
