SJWD Enters JV with Ruiyun and Golden Line to Expand Thailand-China-ASEAN Cross-Border Transport

SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SET: SJWD) recently entered into an agreement with RUIYUN and GOLDEN LINE to establish “Ruiyun International Supply Chain” joint venture to further expand the cross-border transport market for temperature-controlled cargo and general cargo on the Thailand-China-ASEAN route. This strategic joint venture combines the partners’ strengths in regard to logistics platform, cold storage warehousing, and expertise in transportation and distribution covering both Thailand and China.

The target is to achieve over 120 million baht in revenue in the last five months of 2025, increasing to over 560-830 million baht between 2026 and 2029, representing an average annual growth of 13.8 percent. The inaugural project will be the transportation of Thai durian to China. The plan calls for the expansion of the joint venture’s services to customers in the food and beverage industry in China and to broaden its transportation network from China to other ASEAN countries as well.

Mr. Bunn Kasemsup, Co-Chief Executive Officer of SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited (SJWD), the largest integrated logistics and supply chain service provider in ASEAN, revealed that the Company, along with two partners, Ruiyun (HK) International Supply Chain Limited (Ruiyun) of China, and Golden Line Services Company Limited (Golden Line), a subsidiary of Speed Inter Transport Company Limited, have signed an agreement to establish the “Ruiyun International Supply Chain (Thailand) Company Limited” joint venture with registered capital of 140 million baht. SJWD, Ruiyun, and Golden Line, through their subsidiaries, hold shares of 40 percent, 49 percent, and 11 percent, respectively.

The joint venture aims to expand the cross-border transportation services for temperature-controlled goods and general goods on the Thailand-China-ASEAN routes. These include fruits, fresh vegetables, electronics, automotive parts, etc., for customers in a variety of industries seeking to export goods from Thailand to China and the ASEAN region. Recently, the new joint venture has commenced operation with the transport of durian fruits from Thailand to China, and electronic parts from China to Thailand.

The joint venture is leveraging the partners’ combined strengths in cold storage warehousing, logistics platform, temperature-controlled freight transport, and the extensive distribution network spanning Thailand, China, and ASEAN. As for SJWD, the Company specializes in cold storage warehousing, temperature-controlled freight transport, and cross-border transportation.

Currently, SJWD operates nine cold storage warehouses in six provinces, namely: Samut Sakhon, Chachoengsao, Samut Prakan, Saraburi, Chiang Mai, and Pathum Thani, with a combined capacity of over 100,000 tons or 240,000 pallets. Moreover, the Company is planning to invest in new cold storage warehouses in Surat Thani and Khon Kaen provinces, providing temperature-controlled transportation and storage services covering a sizable territory of Thailand.

Cross-border transportation of temperature-controlled and general goods on the Thailand-China-ASEAN routes represents a high-potential and growing market, particularly the export of durian from Thailand to China, which has seen continuous growth over the past several years. Between 2018 and 2024, the value of Thai durian exports to China increased from US$1.1 billion to US$4 billion. It is expected that 2025 will see a growth of over 8 percent as a result of the fruit’s thriving popularity among Chinese consumers. The newly established joint venture has targeted a revenue of over 120 million baht in the last five months of 2025 alone.

From 2026 to 2029, the projected annual revenues will be over 560 million baht, 670 million baht, 750 million baht, and 830 million baht, respectively, representing an average annual growth of 13.8 percent. The new company plans to expand its services to the Chinese food and beverage businesses operating in or exporting to Thailand, leveraging Ruiyun’s customer base in China. This move will positively impact cold storage warehouse occupancy rates and help to expand the logistics network in China, while also increasing the opportunity to push for Thai fruits to reach consumers in China even more effectively and promptly. Plans are also in the works to expand cross-border transportation services from China to other ASEAN countries.

Mr. Zheng Rui Xiang, Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Ruiyun Cold Chain Company, the parent company of Ruiyun (HK) International Supply Chain Co., Ltd., stated that the company is one of China’s leading integrated cold chain logistics service providers and logistics platform, providing B2B services to business customers and expanding into B2C for retail customers. It offers both Less-than-TruckLoad (LTL) and Full Truck Load (FTL) delivery services, with over 180,000 truck operators in China registered on the platform.

Ruiyun’s cooperation with SJWD and Golden Line to set up the joint venture will enhance Ruiyun Group’s logistics capabilities, enabling it to provide services to customers seeking cross-border transport from China to Thailand. This will also expand the logistics routes within ASEAN in the next phase, connecting the regional logistics network.

Also, in the inventory there are more than 300 refrigerated and dry containers, enabling the company to efficiently serve customers throughout the ASEAN region. The collaboration with SJWD and Ruiyun will enhance the company’s potential to expand its customer base in Thailand and China that require the import and export of goods, along with distribution of products to other ASEAN countries, especially the transportation of fresh fruits for which the company is particularly proficient in, and recognized as a leader in the provision of such services.
