PTTEP, PTT, DELTA and Tisco Eke Out Gains as SET50 Reels from Middle East Turmoil

Only four blue-chip stocks in Thailand’s SET50 Index managed gains during Monday’s morning session as regional unrest in the Middle East intensified over the weekend.

PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) led the gainers, rising 1.82% to finish the session at THB 139.50. Other marginal gainers included DELTA (+1.08%), PTT (+0.68%), and TISCO (+0.44%).

Conversely, Bumrungrad Hospital (BH) saw a sharp 10% drop to THB 191.50, pressured by concerns over a decline in Middle Eastern medical tourists. Other significant losers included GPSC (-9.77%), MINT (-8.46%), and CCET (-7.14%).

The market volatility follows major U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran, which reportedly killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior officials. Tehran has since retaliated with missile strikes against countries hosting U.S. military bases, maintaining that its actions are defensive.
