Its Digital Product Development (DPD) team, the developer of the “Sri Trang Friends” application, has achieved ISO/IEC 29110 certification from TÜV SÜD (Thailand) Limited, marking a significant milestone in strengthening its software engineering capabilities. The certification underscores the strength of STA’s in-house development team, demonstrating capabilities comparable to those of leading software development firms.
Achieving ISO/IEC 29110 certification marks a significant milestone in elevating STA’s software development life cycle (SDLC) to internationally recognized standards. At the core of this achievement is a software development framework built on end-to-end traceability and transparency throughout every stage of the software development lifestyle – from requirements gathering and architecture design to coding, testing, and deployment. This systematic approach enables the team to maintain quality control, deliver new features on schedule, and identify and mitigate risks proactively.
These capabilities have contributed to the high stability and security of the Sri Trang Friends application, enabling it to meet the real-time needs of the rubber industry. The achievement also earned recognition from TÜV SÜD auditors, who commented: “The team has a highly structured and well-defined workflow with the capability to deliver software solutions comparable to those developed by leading software companies in the market.”
