Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited (SET: BCH) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the Company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Rajavej Ubonratchathani Company Limited, the operator of a private hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province under the name Rajavej Ubonratchathani Hospital.
BCH intends to conduct a feasibility study for a potential investment with the objective of expanding its private hospital network into Ubon Ratchathani Province, which serves as a major healthcare hub in the lower Northeastern region of Thailand. The province also has strong potential to serve patients from neighboring provinces as well as patients from the southern region of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
This initiative is consistent with BCH’s strategy to expand its patient base and strengthen its referral network across Kasemrad International Hospital, Kasemrad Hospital, World Medical Hospital, and Karunvej Hospital. At present, the company operates a total of 15 hospitals in Thailand and one hospital in the Lao PDR.
The proposed transaction is currently subject to a due diligence process covering legal, accounting, financial, tax, and operational matters, as well as negotiations on the key terms and conditions of the proposed investment. The MOU is nonbinding and does not create any obligation on either party to complete the transaction.
The completion of the proposed transaction remains subject to, among other things, the satisfactory results of the due diligence process and the approval of BCH’s Board of Directors. The company expects the feasibility study to be completed within the third quarter of 2026.
BCH will disclose any material developments to the Stock Exchange of Thailand in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
