Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,646.00 points, increased 6.96 points or 0.42%, with a trading value of THB 93.40 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai market surged in the afternoon session due to buying forces in the banking sector after TTB announced better-than-expected 2Q26 performance, which bolstered market sentiment.
Furthermore, the Thai bourse was also supported by the rally in oil-linked stocks.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to trade sideways within range.
Ekniti Nitithanprapas stated that during an investment roadshow in China, the Thai delegation held in-depth one-on-one negotiations with four leading Chinese corporations in the electric vehicle and advanced technology sectors, which are anticipated to attract investment to Thailand amounting to as much as THB 70 billion. Of this, THB 50 billion represents expansions of existing investment bases, while over THB 20 billion will be new capital injections.
