Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,641.03 points, increased 1.69 points or 0.10%, with a trading value of THB 86.80 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai market traded sideways within range due to buying forces in the banking sector after yesterday’s selloffs, as well as strong interest in upstream energy stocks following a surge in crude prices.
Meanwhile, the Middle East tensions continued to pressure the tourism sector.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to move sideways, cautioning investors of volatility from risk-off selling ahead of the weekend.
Thailand Board of Investment has released its subsidized investment statistics for the first half of 2026, revealing a significant surge in the country’s investment landscape. Total investment promotion climbed to THB 1.47 trillion, representing a robust 37% year-on-year increase. This remarkable uptick is primarily attributed to substantial investments in digital and artificial intelligence sectors, reflecting the nation’s push towards technology-driven growth.
