TTB and Tisco Announce Interim Dividends, Setting Positive Tone for Thai Banking Sector

In a move that is expected to lift sentiment across the Thai banking sector, TMBThanachart Bank (TTB) has announced an interim dividend of THB0.081 per share for the first half of 2026, reflecting a dividend yield of 2.8%. This payout is higher than analysts’ expectations, which forecast a dividend of THB0.07 per share.

The ex-dividend (XD) date to receive TTB’s dividend is on September 7, 2026, with dividends set to be paid on September 25, 2026.

The stronger-than-expected dividend from TTB is likely to positively influence other banking stocks, as several institutions are scheduled to announce their own interim dividends in the upcoming week.

Tisco Bank has also announced its interim dividend for the first half of 2026 at THB2.00 per share, translating to a 46% payout ratio. This announcement is consistent with Tisco’s historical interim dividend patterns. According to analysts at CGSI, the move is neutral and aligns with their expectations. The research house anticipates that Tisco’s dividend payout ratio in the second half of 2026 will surpass that of the first half. CGSI maintains its “Reduce” rating on Tisco, with a 2026 target price of THB110.

Regarding TTB, CGSI highlighted the bank’s 67.5% payout ratio as exceeding previous full-year 2026 forecasts of 65%. The firm also projects a higher payout ratio in 2027 and 2028, at 75%. Overall, CGSI sees the announcement as “slightly positive in the short term,” and continues to recommend a “Hold” rating on TTB, with a 2026 target price of THB2.54.
