Thai Stock Market Outlook on 26 August 2026

Brokers project neutral-to-positive outlooks for the Thai stock market on Wednesday, as investors’ sentiment has improved following a recent development in the Middle East. Meanwhile, market participants will be monitoring Thailand’s central bank meeting, key economic data and corporate earnings, as well as the Thailand Focus event.

Krungthai XSpring Securities expects the Thai benchmark to trade sideways-up, as the de-escalation of conflict in the Middle East has improved the overall outlook, supported by reports of a provisional agreement reached through negotiations between Iran and Oman. Energy prices, particularly oil, have moved lower in response.

The broker also noted the start of the Thailand Focus 2026 conference today, suggesting that the event could strengthen market momentum. The analyst also highlighted Nvidia’s earnings release later tonight, which could influence global technology sentiment.

The securities firm set a resistance level for the SET Index at 1,605 – 1,610 points, and a resistance level at 1,580 points.

Separately, Daol Securities expect the Thai bourse to move sideways as investors react to upcoming local and international events, including the Bank of Thailand’s policy meeting and the latest U.S. PCE inflation data. While the overall investment climate has improved, the sharp decline in oil prices could trigger some selling in the energy sector, which may weigh on the main index.

Daol recommends short-term trades related to the Thailand Focus event—which is expected to attract greater attention from international investors—highlighting names such as CRC, CPN, and PTTGC. Tourism-linked stocks, including CENTEL, ERW, and AOT, are also favored, aligning with government initiatives to stimulate domestic tourism.

Yesterday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,596.01 points, decreasing by 5.04 points or 0.31%, with a trading value of THB 59.75 billion.
