BGRIM Restructures For New Power Development Plan, Accelerating Growth as ‘Energy Tech Company’

B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (SET: BGRIM) is strategically repositioning its business units to align with Thailand’s upcoming Power Development Plan (PDP 2026), aiming to transition into a comprehensive Energy Tech Company.

Following a strong second-quarter performance in 2026 and an interim dividend declaration of 0.18 THB per share, Mr. Nopadej Karnasuta, President of Thailand, Malaysia, and Energy & Industrial Solutions, outlined the company’s roadmap for both short-term revenue generation and long-term expansion.

Four Pillars of Transformation

To capture the nation’s surging electricity demand—projected to reach approximately 77,374 MW by 2050 (High Case), with significant demand from EEC-based data centers—B.Grimm Power has established four synergistic business units:

  • B.Grimm Beyond Bridge: Spearheads the Digital Infrastructure-as-a-Service (DIaaS) initiative, leveraging over 216 km of Smart Micro Grid infrastructure to support upcoming Third Party Access (TPA) regulations.
  • B.Grimm INET: A joint venture focused on upgrading Thai industrial estates into “Smart Industrial Estates” to enhance digital sovereignty.
  • Digital Edge B.Grimm: Developing a 96 MW hyperscale data center in Chonburi (45% complete). Partial operations are set for late 2026, with a long-term goal of 300 MW by 2030.
  • Regional Clean Energy Portfolio: Operating under the “GreenLeap” strategy, targeting 10,000 MW of contracted capacity, with over 50% from renewables by 2030 across Thailand, South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.

Immediate Revenue Opportunities (2026–2027)

B.Grimm Power is positioned to capitalize on immediate revenue streams through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027:

  • Ready-to-Connect Capacity: 250 MW of available electricity capacity in the Map Ta Phut and Ang Thong industrial areas.
  • Data Center Ecosystem Deals: Ongoing negotiations to provide land and integrated electrical infrastructure to data center developers.
  • Nakwol 1 (South Korea): A 365 MW offshore wind project (49% stake) expected to achieve Commercial Operation Date (COD) this year.
  • Digital Edge B.Grimm: Gradual launch of the Chonburi hyperscale facility starting late 2026.
  • Ongoing Projects: Includes the 35 MW Zhongce Rubber solar rooftop project, the 48 MW Huong Hoa 1 wind project (Vietnam), and various others totaling 30 MW.
  • Recent Successes: Continued revenue from the 83.79 MW Insee B.Grimm Solar project and the 17 MW first phase of the Amata B.Grimm floating solar project in Chonburi.
  • Philippines Expansion: ARECO (a wholly-owned subsidiary) signed a 50 MW Renewable Energy Power Agreement (REPA) for the Vista Alegre solar farm project.

Looking Ahead: Preparedness for SMR

Beyond immediate growth, B.Grimm Power is proactively preparing infrastructure for Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology in partnership with European and Chinese collaborators. This initiative is rooted in the concept of “Energy Sovereignty,” aiming to reduce reliance on imported fuels and mitigate global energy price volatility.

“For many organizations, the new national power plan is a challenge to adapt, but for B.Grimm Power, it is a validation of the path we have always chosen,” concluded Mr. Nopadej.
