Mr. Akarin Prathuangsit, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Prapon Chinudomsub, Chief Financial Officer of WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (SET: WHAUP), Thailand’s leading utilities and power company, presented the company’s latest business performance at the “WHAUP Analyst Meeting.”
WHAUP reported strong results for the second quarter of 2026, recording total revenue and normalized share of profit of THB 1.258 billion, an increase of 36% year-on-year, and normalized net profit of THB 532 million, up 276% year-on-year. The robust performance was driven by higher water sales in Thailand and Vietnam, together with the significant recovery of the Gheco-One power plant, which resumed operations at full capacity following scheduled maintenance in the previous quarter.
Looking ahead, WHAUP is accelerating investments to support future industries, creating significant opportunities to expand its revenue base and develop new S-Curves for long-term growth. In its water business, the company is preparing to meet rising demand through reclamation water solutions, supported by advanced technologies and innovations that enhance water resource management efficiency and advance its Water Positive ambition.
In its power business, WHAUP is strengthening its infrastructure readiness to facilitate clean energy trading through Direct Power Purchase Agreements (Direct PPAs) once the relevant government policy is implemented. The company is also exploring and developing future energy innovations, including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and carbon capture technologies, to unlock new business opportunities while advancing its sustainability goals.
