Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,591.07 points, decreasing by 13.45 points or 0.84%, with a trading value of THB 61.89 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market plunged due to selling pressure in DELTA and other electronics shares following a global tech downtrend, as well as concerns over a Federal Reserve rate hike and elevated bond yields.
Nevertheless, the market’s decline was cushioned by buying interest in the banking and energy sectors.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects investors to adopt a wait-and-see stance while awaiting the Fed meeting results.
The Election Commission of Thailand has resolved to submit to the Supreme Court the cases concerning 77 senators involved in the 2024 Senate appointments. Among these, 26 were serving in the Senate at the time the complaints were filed.
