PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (SET: PTTEP) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that, according to Ministry of Energy’s announcement of the result of the 25th Bid Round for Onshore Exploration Blocks, PTTEP International Limited, a subsidiary of PTTEP, has been solely awarded the rights for petroleum exploration and production in Onshore Exploration Blocks No. L1/66 and L3/66, located in northeastern Thailand near the company’s operated Sinphuhorm Project, which is currently in production.
The blocks cover areas of 3,223.51 square kilometers and 3,918.22 square kilometers, respectively. The concession agreements will be signed subsequently.
The award of petroleum exploration and production rights for these exploration blocks is in line with PTTEP’s strategic plan to provide energy security for Thailand.
