Srivichaivejvivat Public Company Limited (SET: VIH) said PRG Corporation Public Company Limited (SET: PRG) has acquired a 20.03% stake in the company after purchasing 125.66 million VIH shares through a big-lot transaction from BBTV Equity Co., Ltd., a major shareholder of VIH.
Following the transaction, PRG became a major shareholder of VIH with a 20.03% holding.
The company added that the change in its shareholder structure would not affect its business operations, while the transaction represents a change in ownership of shares between existing and new shareholders.
VIH operates hospitals and healthcare-related businesses in Thailand, while PRG is engaged in businesses related to food and consumer products.
