PTTGC Issues THB17 Billion Dual-Tranche Debentures, Strengthening Liquidity and Financial Flexibility

Mr. Thitipong Jurapornsiridee, Executive Vice President of Finance and Accounting at PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (SET: PTTGC), announced that the company completed the issuance of two tranches of debentures totaling THB 17 billion, meeting its targeted fundraising goal.

The offering was well received by a diverse group of investors, including existing debentureholders, senior investors, and general investors. This strong response aligns with PTTGC’s commitment to providing accessible investment opportunities across different investor segments.

The proceeds from this debenture issuance will be used to replenish the company’s cash reserves previously allocated for debt repayment, thereby enhancing liquidity and increasing financial flexibility. PTTGC continues to execute its core business growth strategy alongside expanding into specialty businesses and green and bio businesses. The aim is to evolve the company’s business portfolio towards high-value and low-carbon businesses.

Managing the company’s capital structure, reducing debt, and strategically reshaping the business portfolio remain key components of PTTGC’s approach to strengthening its financial position, boosting competitiveness, and laying the groundwork for long-term sustainable growth.

Since 2023, PTTGC has steadily executed its deleveraging plan, successfully reducing its interest-bearing debt by more than THB 116 billion. As of June 2026, the company’s interest-bearing debt stood at approximately THB 149 billion.

This commitment to debt reduction, prudent liquidity management, and sustained financial discipline was recognized on August 24, 2026, when S&P Global Ratings revised PTTGC’s credit rating outlook from “Negative” to “Positive,” reflecting improvements in the company’s financial structure and tangible progress in deleveraging.

Both tranches of the debenture issuance comprised: 1) a seven-year debenture with a fixed annual interest rate of 2.65% amounting to THB 7,578 million, and 2) a ten-year debenture with a fixed annual interest rate of 3.00% amounting to THB 9,422 million. Both offerings received an AA-(tha) credit rating from Fitch Ratings (Thailand) Limited.

The strong uptake by a wide range of investors underscores confidence in PTTGC’s capital management, financial discipline, and the company’s ability to maintain its financial strength alongside business growth.
