Brokers project neutral outlooks for the Thai stock market on Monday, with geopolitical risks in the Middle East continuing to weigh on market sentiment. Investors continue to monitor listed companies’ third-quarter earnings results, particularly major technology firms.
Asia Plus Securities expects the Thai benchmark to move sideways today, citing limited fresh catalysts and lingering external pressure from the Middle East situation. The brokerage expects energy counters to help support the index as oil prices climb again.
Asia Plus also noted that bank shares could attract selective buying before lenders begin releasing 3Q26 earnings.
The securities firm set a resistance level for the SET Index at 1,590 points, and a support level at 1,565 points.
Separately, Daol Securities projected the Thai bourse this week to trade within a support level of 1,550 – 1,560 points and a resistance level of 1,584 – 1,594 points. The firm said market attention is expected to shift more toward corporate earnings announcements.
The brokerage noted that global technology results will be the main focus for traders, with Netflix, Tesla and Meta among the major companies due to report. Daol said concerns surrounding CoreWeave’s borrowing and a jump in its credit default swap rates have hurt the broader investment atmosphere.
Still, the rise in oil prices may provide some support for Thai equities through energy-related stocks, the analyst remarked.
Last Thursday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,573.01 points, decreasing by 2.87 points or 0.18%, with a trading value of THB 58.48 billion.
