Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,571.72 points, decreasing by 1.29 points or 0.08%, with a trading value of THB 63.18 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market moved sideways within range due to the lack of fresh drivers. The index remains under pressure from rising oil prices, which raised concerns over inflation and rate hikes.
Meanwhile, there was speculative buying interest in the banking sector, particularly KBANK and KTB, ahead of this week’s 3Q26 earnings.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to continue trading sideways within range.
China reported a 4.5% year-on-year increase in gross domestic product for the third quarter, outpacing economists’ expectations and reducing pressure for further government stimulus. The performance marked an improvement from the previous quarter, as strong export demand helped counterbalance weak property and domestic consumption sectors.
