Thai Stock Market Outlook on 20 October 2026

Brokers project neutral outlooks for the Thai stock market on Tuesday, citing mixed catalysts. Support is anticipated to come from improved sentiment toward technology-related shares and the gradual release of the banking sector earnings. Nevertheless, external pressure from oil and bond yields continues to persist.

Krungthai XSpring Securities expects the Thai benchmark to move sideways within range. The firm said market sentiment may benefit from a rebound in the tech sector, while third-quarter 2026 earnings reports from banks could provide selective support.

However, elevated oil prices and high U.S. Treasury yields remain key constraints on broader market gains.

The securities firm set a resistance for the SET Index at 1,585 points, and a support level at 1,560 points.

Daol Securities also estimated that the Thai bourse will move sideways-up, citing recovering sentiment in tech shares after selling pressure in the previous week.

For the Thai market, Daol said there are no fresh positive catalysts beyond bank earnings scheduled for release this week. Meanwhile, oil prices and bond yields are still holding at elevated levels.

Yesterday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,571.72 points, decreasing by 1.29 points or 0.08%, with a trading value of THB 63.18 billion.
