Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,562.67 points, increasing by 6.58 points or 0.42%, with a trading value of THB 67.15 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai stock market outperformed its regional peers, which were pressured by concerns over elevated oil prices and surging bond yields.
Domestically, the Thai market benefited from less tech exposure, leading to a sector rotation toward value play-themed stocks.
For next week, the analyst recommends that investors monitor earnings reports from U.S. tech firms, as well as Thai domestic plays and energy-related names.
