True Corporation (SET: TRUE) is conducting final network readiness checks following 5G network enhancements across 19 key locations along both banks of the Chao Phraya River, covering the Phra Nakhon and Thon Buri sides, from Krung Thon Bridge to Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan. These efforts aim to support members of the public who will gather to welcome Their Majesties the King and Queen and witness the 2026 Royal Barge Procession on Friday, November 6, 2026.
True’s engineering teams have continuously conducted on-site signal quality assessments, network testing and capacity enhancements throughout the rehearsal period, which began on August 17, 2026, including the two full-dress rehearsals held on October 21 and 28. Actual network usage data has been analyzed to further optimize network performance in areas expected to attract large crowds. AI-powered network management, supported by the Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), which operates 24 hours a day, will help ensure reliable connectivity for communications, photo and video sharing, and livestreaming on social media during the Royal Ceremony.
Mr. Khurrum Ashfaque, Chief Network Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited, said, “True Corporation is proud to contribute its network expertise and communications technology capabilities to support preparations for this important Royal Ceremony. Our engineering teams have conducted on-site signal quality assessments and analyzed actual network usage along the Chao Phraya River. We have also planned network enhancements across 19 key locations, including increasing the capacity of existing base stations, installing temporary sites and preparing mobile Cell-on-Wheel (COW) units. These measures are designed to support the large numbers of people expected to gather for the Royal Barge Procession, particularly the increased demand for mobile data, photo and video sharing, and social media livestreaming across multiple locations simultaneously.”
“Managing the network along the Chao Phraya River presents unique challenges, including limitations on equipment installation, signal propagation characteristics and the distribution of crowds across viewing areas. Our engineering teams have therefore continuously refined network performance using rehearsal insights and actual usage data. AI is also being used to analyze network traffic and manage capacity, while BNIC and field engineering teams monitor network conditions around the clock. Our goal is to enable members of the public to stay connected and share memorable moments seamlessly throughout this important occasion,” Mr. Khurrum added.
