HR Asia Names “BGRIM” Best Firm to Work For with Utmost Caring

B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) is recognised as one of Asia’s best firms to work for while being most caring this year in the latest survey by the leading human resource magazine HR Asia.

 

The two awards – “HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2022” and “HR Asia Most Caring Companies Awards 2022” — bestowed to BGRIM reflects the leading Thai power producer’s strong commitment to effective people management.

Nopadej Karnasuta, Senior Executive Vice President – Investment, Innovation and Sustainability at BGRIM, represented the company to receive the prestigious awards from William Ing, Editor-in-Chief of Business Media International, the publisher of HR Asia magazine, at the ceremony held at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel, Bangkok.

Mr. Nopadej said apart from adhering to its parent B.Grimm Group’s 144-year tradition of doing business with compassion and in harmony with economic development, being socially and environmentally responsible, BGRIM has also committed to sound people management.

He said: “The human resources are the vital cog in driving the company towards the goals by focussing on synergy between executives and employees.

Being honoured by these awards mirrors employees’ confidence in the company and indicating their contentment in working with B.Grimm, he added.

The HR Asia awards fete companies with outstanding human resource management and development in various fields. Malaysia-based Business Media International (BMI) has been holding the HR Asia Award presentations since 2013 based on the criteria to measure the level of employee participation and organisational culture in various dimensions.

A panel of experts and academics from leading organisations in Asia make a judgement by applying the Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM). The model constitutes three key criteria — good internal management to create employee engagement, caring for and creating a suitable working atmosphere and promoting a culture of teamwork.

 

Kriengkrai Yuyuen, First Senior Vice President – People Partnership at BGRIM, said the company’s people management is adaptable to situations to meet the different needs of employees as well as in developing potential and promoting skills in various fields through the creation of a mind-set and a learning organisation.

That comes along with providing good quality of life to employees by creating an environment conducive to innovation, offering career advancement opportunities, proper compensation and benefits, and encouraging all employees to take care of the society and the environment through social activities that BGRIM has engaged.

This year, HR Asia magazine has conducted a survey of 219 companies in Thailand with 67 of them being judged. BGRIM joined the HR Asia assessment for the first time this year and receiving excellent employee engagement scores while being named one of the best companies in Asia to work for, and having excellent care for the staff.
