VGI Receives Carbon Footprint for Organization Certification from TGO

Mr. Marut Arthakaivalvatee, Vice Chairman of VGI Public Company Limited (SET: VGI), received the Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) certificate from Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Chairman of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), at the Carbon Label Certification Ceremony organized by TGO.

VGI places great importance on carbon management, covering business activities, energy consumption, and the supply chain. The company also promotes climate change awareness through its advertising media platforms. In addition, VGI invests in new technologies to improve energy efficiency and explores the use of clean energy in its operations. The company also addresses climate-related risks, such as natural disasters and extreme weather conditions that may affect its business activities.

In the fiscal year 2024/25, the company’s total greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 12,588 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e), comprising 270 tCO₂e from organizational activities and vehicles (Scope 1), 5,069 tCO₂e from electricity consumption (Scope 2), and 7,249 tCO₂e from upstream and downstream activities (Scope 3). This marks a reduction compared to 13,702 tCO₂e in the previous fiscal year.

VGI also reused 31% of its total 62 tons of waste, exceeding its 30% target, demonstrating efficient waste management in line with its circular economy strategy. Meanwhile, the company’s water consumption in 2024/25 was 3,650 cubic meters, down from 4,400 cubic meters in the previous year, reflecting more efficient use of water resources.
