MR. D.I.Y. Holding (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SET: MRDIYT), a leading home improvement and lifestyle retailer, is showing solidarity and delivering aid to victims in the flood-affected Southern Region. The company joined forces with partners across the public and private sectors to ensure swift and comprehensive distribution of assistance.
Since the floods began, MR. D.I.Y., through the MR. D.I.Y. Cares project, has delivered a total of over 56,000 essential items, valued at more than two million baht, to the affected areas. These vital goods, including survival bag essentials such as flashlights, headlamps, batteries, face towels, toothbrushes, and garbage bags, were promptly distributed through nearby Southern region stores and centralised logistics with the cooperation of both government and private sector partners.
Mr. Arnupharp Kongmalai, Vice President of the Marketing Department at MRDIYT, said, “With our nationwide store network and diverse product range, we’re able to respond quickly to challenging emergencies. We are determined to stand by Thais through every difficulty. We have been closely monitoring the situation affecting the livelihoods of our customers and the Thai people, and out of concern, we immediately accelerated the distribution of necessary supplies to the affected provinces to ensure that aid reaches all areas of need thoroughly and promptly.”
To provide comprehensive assistance as quickly as possible, MR. D.I.Y. collaborated with the following government partners:
- Relief and Community Health Bureau, Thai Red Cross Society
- Narathiwat Municipality Office
- Disaster Relief Center, Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality
- Disaster Relief Center, Ta Khao Sub-district Municipality, Trang Province
- Phatthalung Municipality Office
The company also worked with private sector partners, including AirAsia and J&T Express, to support the transportation and delivery of supplies to victims at the Prince of Songkla University Shelter.
In addition, the company also supported the charity football event, Kindness Unites Us: Flood Relief Initiative, organized by Boy Tha Prachan FC in collaboration with the Romsai Foundation, to support those affected in the South.
MR. D.I.Y. remains committed to ensuring that local communities have access to essential daily necessities. Although some stores were affected and temporarily closed, the company’s more than 1,000 stores nationwide allow it to continue serving the public and supporting areas still in need.
“We encourage everyone across Thailand to remain steadfast during this challenging time. We are dedicated to closely monitoring the situation, prepared to extend assistance to other areas in need, and committed to standing by all Thai citizens in any challenging circumstance,” concluded Mr. Arnupharp.
