Thaipat Institute named Pluk Phak Praw Rak Mae PCL (SET: OKJ) as one of ESG Emerging listed companies worth investing in this year. The selection was made from 921 listed companies, using data related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors these companies displayed, performance that reflect ESG, and initiation or operation characteristics that align with ESG.
According to Mr. Chalakon Eakchaipatanakul, CEO of OKJ, the company values sustainable agriculture development through modern technology and innovation to increase manufacturing efficiency and maintain the product quality, according to international criteria.
OKJ is also aiming to create business standards that generate value to community and society through initiatives that promote careers for local farmers, along with supporting environmentally friendly organic farming and creating value to all stakeholders.
Furthermore, OKJ also values renewable energy as the company installed solar panels on the roofs of the greenhouse, central kitchen, and company’s restaurants in Chiang Mai. The company plans to study the method of assessing the greenhouse gas emissions from business operations and form a carbon footprint for organizations that follow international standards.
Thaipat Institute, the initiator of business sustainability data development, began revealing ESG100 listed companies that perform admirably in the ESG field since 2015 and those from the ESG Emerging group since 2020.
The ranking of ESG emerging list is considered as sustainability information data for listed companies to support investor demand that value investing in social and environment responsible companies. The list also addresses the investors that aim to invest in listed companies that have good quality and generate revenue no less than general investments.
