Alibaba Unveils “Assured Star Package” to Accelerate Thai SMEs’ Entry into Global Markets

Alibaba.com, a leading global B2B e-commerce platform, has officially introduced the “Assured Star Package”, a specially designed initiative to support Thai small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their journey toward global digital transformation and cross-border success with confidence and measurable outcomes. Coinciding with World Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Day on June 27th, this initiative highlights the commitment of Alibaba.com to supporting Thai SMEs.

With the global B2B e-commerce market projected to reach USD 20.9 trillion by 2027, as reported by Research and Markets, and Thailand’s exports surging 18.4% year-on-year to a record high of USD 31.04 billion in May 2025, according to Trading Economics, Alibaba.com has introduced the “Assured Star Package” in response to this dynamic environment. This solution is designed to assist Thai SMEs in the global B2B e-commerce market and support businesses transitioning to an e-commerce model.

The Assured Star Package is specifically tailored to help Thai SMEs navigate the complexities of the rapidly evolving digital commerce landscape by enhancing visibility to international buyers and optimizing cross-border business outcomes. Additionally, the package offers the benefit of improved star ratings, which result in enhanced search rankings, greater visibility, and increased buyer trust, empowering SMEs to respond to buyer inquiries more effectively. Furthermore, upgrading from Gold Supplier to Verified Supplier status provides advantages, including more inquiries and active buyers, highlighting the importance of trust and credibility in expanding business opportunities.

One of the many Thai businesses that exemplify this potential is Thumbinthai Co. Ltd, a Thailand-based clothing and apparel manufacturer. Founded by four friends fresh out of university, the brand started as a small local venture but quickly gained momentum on Alibaba.com. Just two weeks after joining the platform, they received their first order, marking the beginning of a global journey.

Today, the company has expanded to a team of over 80 employees and serves customers across the world. As of 2024, the business has generated over 10 million baht in export revenue directly through Alibaba.com.
