Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (SET: PSL) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand about the acquisition of one secondhand Medium Range (MR) tanker vessel, viz. M/T FLORENCE by Precious Horizon Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned Singapore subsidiary of the company.
M/T FLORENCE is a medium-range tanker vessel with a deadweight of 47,999 tonnes. The vessel has a total purchase price of $11.1 million, which is a market price, and has a delivery date between February 20 and March 15, 2026.
The acquisition of the vessel forms part of the company’s strategic initiative to diversify its fleet portfolio into the Tanker segment in order to broaden revenue streams beyond the dry bulk sector. This investment supports the company’s long-term business resilience by expanding into a complementary shipping segment with different demand drivers and chartering dynamics.
