Investors are awaiting major external factors, including the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting tonight. Although the market expects the interest rate to be maintained, the key points to monitor are the economic outlook signals for the United States and the direction of future monetary policy. There is also anticipation for the earnings reports from major technology stocks (Mag 7).
Domestically, investors are still awaiting the earnings results of listed companies. Today, The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SET: SCC) will announce its financial statement, and attention is also on the upcoming election in early February.
As for the afternoon market outlook, the index is expected to continue moving sideways, with a slight upside potential from speculative interest in energy stocks. The resistance range is assessed at 1,345 points, with support at 1,320–1,325 points.
