SET Index Drops as Asian Markets Retreat, DELTA and ADVANC Face Pressure

Mr. Sorrabhol Virameteekul, Assistant Managing Director and Head of Investment Strategy Department at Kasikorn Securities, stated that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index closed the morning session lower by 0.57%, or 7.63 points, at 1,338.91 points, in line with other Asian stock markets.

The decline was pressured by sell-offs in DELTA, following the negative sentiment in global technology stocks, as well as profit-taking in ADVANC after a significant increase yesterday.

However, there was a rebound in THAI and buying interest in the energy sector, driven by rising oil prices. Overall, investors may still be waiting for the results of Sunday’s election, causing the index to remain flat.

The afternoon outlook is expected to see the market move within a range, with a resistance level at 1,350 points and a support level at 1,330 points.
