Advancing DEI Culture from Workplace to Social Engagement

FWD Life Insurance Plc. (FWD Insurance) is a proud supporter of the “LGBTIQ+ Movie Night 2026,” now in its 8th year, held at the Netherlands Embassy Garden in Bangkok, Thailand. This event, organised in collaboration with Document Our History Now (DOHN), offers the public a unique opportunity to engage with the stories of the LGBTIQ+ community through the powerful medium of film and storytelling.

This support reflects FWD Insurance’s ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), highlighting the company’s dedication to embracing diversity, promoting equality, and respecting differences both within the workplace and in society at large. These values are deeply embedded in the company’s culture and extend into its role as a proactive social contributor.

Mr. David Korunić, Chief Executive Officer for Thailand and Cambodia, FWD Life Insurance Plc., said, “At FWD Insurance, respecting differences and creating a safe space for all are fundamental to our company culture. We have long collaborated with communities advocating for inclusivity, and our support for LGBTIQ+ Movie Night 2026 allows us to contribute to a broader cultural dialogue, providing a platform to amplify the voices of these communities.”

FWD Insurance is committed to creating a workplace that is safe, equitable, and respectful of every individual’s identity. The company offers a range of policies and benefits designed to meet diverse needs, including leave for gender-affirming surgeries with medical support, comprehensive health coverage for same-sex partners, and non-gender-specific parental leave. These initiatives demonstrate the company’s dedication to supporting employees with understanding and respect, while also extending this commitment to social causes through continued collaboration with cultural organisations.

During LGBTIQ+ Movie Night 2026, attendees will experience a variety of works that document the lives and perspectives of the LGBTIQ+ community, including the ‘Queer Burmese at Thai Border ‘photography project, the ‘How Must I Live’ film project, the Dutch short film ‘Omarm’, and ‘Paradise of Thorns’. These films will be shown in an open-air cinema setting at the Embassy Garden, a cultural space that fosters discussion, learning, and exchange in a respectful environment. FWD Insurance’s support for this initiative is based on the belief that art is a universal language, capable of connecting people across identities, ages, and experiences, thereby fostering greater understanding and connection.
