MINT Set for Continued Growth Momentum as Advance Booking in Europe Remains Robust

Ms. Namida Artispong, Group Director of Investor Relations at Minor International Public Company Limited (SET: MINT), stated that advance hotel bookings of the company remain robust, supporting single-digit growth in revenue per available room (RevPar) for the second quarter of 2026.

Hotels in Europe, which account for approximately 74% of MINT’s total revenue, continue to see strong advance bookings for Q2, with this trend extending into the second half of the year. Bookings in Asia, on the other hand, have slowed in the three months ending June, but are expected to recover during the latter half of the year, as indicated by improving advance booking figures.

In Australia, which represents about 3% of total revenue, hotel growth remains steady, while operations in the Middle East, with a revenue share of around 5%, have seen a slowdown due to the impact of the ongoing conflict in the region.

In 2026, MINT anticipates signing around 50 hotel management contracts, with more than 30 expected to be finalized in the first half of the year. In the first quarter alone, nine management contracts have already been signed.

Regarding the food segment, performance in the second quarter of 2026 remains under close watch as sales in Thailand recorded modest growth in April.

As per the first-quarter 2026 financial statements among listed hotel operators, six companies exhibited strong growth. One of them is Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited (CENTEL), which reported a net profit of THB 2,142.54 million—an increase of 186% year-on-year from THB 747.84 million—alongside total revenue of THB 6,975 million, up 3% year-on-year. This growth was largely attributed to more efficient cost management in its food business.

Veranda Resort Public Company Limited (VRANDA) posted a net profit of THB 77.23 million, an 80% increase from THB 42.86 million in the previous year, with total revenue rising 22% to THB 521 million, mainly driven by higher hotel revenue.

Meanwhile, MINT reported a net profit of THB 648.78 million for the first quarter, up 56% from THB 416.86 million in the same period last year. Total revenue increased to THB 38,488 million, a 5% rise from THB 36,738 million last year, underpinned by growth in both the hotel and restaurant segments.
