Thai Shipping Stocks Surge as Baltic Dry Index Rises 9% on High Season

On Friday, the share price of Thoresen Thai Agencies Public Company Limited (SET: TTA) at the time of 2:06 p.m. was at THB 5.35, a THB 0.20 or 3.88% increase with a total trading value of THB 71.77 million.

Meanwhile, the share price of Precious Shipping Public Company Limited (SET: PSL) at the same time was at THB 7.55, a THB 0.25 or 3.42% increase with a total trading value of THB 76.27 million.

The share price of Regional Container Lines Public Company Limited (SET: RCL) was at THB 31.50, a THB 0.75 or 2.44% increase with a total trading value of THB 92.55 million.

Yuanta Securities (Thailand) stated that the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) has risen for four consecutive days, increasing by 9% due to accelerated cargo shipments and entering the high season.

Additionally, TTA is also showing strong growth in its fertilizer business via PMTA, as fertilizer prices have surged amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The brokerage expects that the company’s 2Q26 profit will grow both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year. The stock price trades at only 0.3 times PBV (Price-to-Book Value), with resistance level at THB 5.55.

 

PSL has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on 29 May 2026, that the company has received the delivery of a vessel from Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering, which has been named “M.V. Rossarin Naree” (Hull No. SF240101) and is registered in Singapore.

On May 29, 2024, PSL notified the SET regarding the signing of four shipbuilding contracts with Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. for construction of four 63,500 DWT bulk carriers, which include the aforementioned M.V. Rossarin Naree, the Hull No. SF240102, SF240103, and SF240104.

With this delivery, the company will have a total fleet of 41.
