On Thursday at 10:59 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Muangthai Capital Public Company Limited (SET: MTC) surged 2.31% or THB 0.75 to THB 33.25, with a trading value of THB 320.59 million.
Land and Houses Securities (LHS) has issued a positive outlook for MTC, projecting that the company’s profit in the second half of 2026 could reach new record highs. This anticipated performance is underpinned by an expected acceleration in loans, coupled with a downward trend in financial costs.
According to the brokerage, MTC’s rapid branch network expansion is nearing its target of 9,000 locations, positioning the company to shift its focus toward boosting productivity and enhancing expense control going forward.
Although MTC has revised down its 2026 loan growth target from the previous range of 10-15% year-on-year to a more cautious 8-10% year-on-year, this move reflects a strategic emphasis on prudent lending and higher-quality borrowers.
LHS maintains a ‘Buy’ recommendation for MTC, assigning a strategic target price of THB 42.50 per share. This valuation represents a forward price-to-earnings multiple of 11.8x based on FY2026 forecasts.
