TRUE Installs Free WiFi at Hospitals and Evacuation Centers in Flood-Hit Nan

True Corporation (SET: TRUE) is accelerating the installation of free WiFi at evacuation centers, providing essential supplies to officials and flood-affected residents, and dispatching Cells on Wheels (COWs) from across the northern region to support communications in Nan Province. Heavy rainfall has triggered flash floods in Pua District, with rapidly rising water levels affecting homes and major transport routes.

The company has mobilized field engineers, equipment and backup power systems to support cell sites across the affected areas. At the same time, True has stepped up monitoring across five border districts in Tak Province as water levels in local waterways and the Moei River continue to rise, particularly in Mae Sot Municipality, where flooding has begun to affect several areas.

Mr. Thongchai Kwanphut, Head of Network Rollout and Field Operation, True Corporation Public Company Limited, led a team of network engineers and technicians to inspect critical cell sites serving hospitals and evacuation centers to maintain continuity of mobile and home internet services. Backup power systems and spare parts have also been sent to the area, while teams are working to restore affected cell sites as quickly as possible.

At Pua Crown Prince Hospital, Nan Province, True’s team has strengthened mobile network coverage and met with the hospital director to assess communications needs and challenges on the ground, supporting hospital operations and assistance for local communities during the ongoing flood crisis.

Meanwhile, True’s local teams have set up service points and distributed drinking water to provide immediate assistance to flood-affected communities. The teams are also coordinating with Pua Subdistrict Municipality on communications support and accelerating the installation of free WiFi at evacuation centers, enabling residents and emergency personnel to stay connected and maintain access to internet services.
