Thai Stock Market Outlook on 1 September 2026

Brokers project neutral-to-positive outlooks for the Thai stock market on Tuesday, as rising oil prices are anticipated to benefit the energy sector. Investors continue to monitor both domestic and overseas factors such as Thailand’s fiscal policy and key U.S. economic data.

Tisco Securities expects the Thai benchmark to potentially maintain upward momentum—though with limited volume—with the main support catalyst from the energy sector following crude prices trend.

Domestically, the Thai market was also bolstered by progress on the Emergency Loan Decree, which has already passed Senate consideration. Additionally, the analyst recommends investors closely monitor the 2027 budget consideration next week.

On external factors, investors are waiting for U.S. economic data, especially the PMI index and employment figures, to assess the Federal Reserve’s interest rate outlook.

The securities firm set a support level for the SET Index at 1,580 points, and a resistance level at 1,610 points.

Meanwhile, Daol Securities estimated that the Thai bourse will move sideways, as surging U.S. bond yields pressured the overall investment sentiment.

Furthermore, despite rising crude prices supporting the energy sector and helping limit some pressure on the Thai stock index, the market still lacks clear new positive factors. In addition, historical statistics indicate that September is often a period when the market experiences volatility.

Yesterday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,595.16 points, increasing by 6.94 points or 0.44%, with a trading value of THB 75.81 billion.
