Brokers project neutral-to-positive outlooks for the Thai stock market on Tuesday, supported by a temporary easing in Middle East tensions and renewed interest in technology-linked shares. Analysts said the SET Index may gain from improved risk appetite, though high crude prices remain a factor for investors to monitor.
Asia Plus Securities expects the Thai benchmark to move sideways-up, citing near-term relaxation of geopolitical pressure after four Muslim countries joined talks aimed at reducing regional strain.
Technology-related counters are also expected to attract attention after Anthropic submitted its IPO filing, a development seen as reviving market interest in artificial intelligence themes, according to the analyst.
The securities firm set a resistance level for the SET Index at 1,590 points, and a support level at 1,560 points.
Daol Securities also anticipates the Thai bourse to trade sideways-up, with AI-related sentiment providing additional support. The analyst noted that oil prices had declined for a second consecutive day, although they continued to trade at elevated levels.
Daol added that domestic economic data also contributed to the market backdrop. Thailand’s September 2026 exports have risen by more than 24%, while applications for investment promotion through the Board of Investment exceeded THB 1.7 trillion in the first nine months of 2026. The BOI figure was driven mainly by investment tied to the AI supply chain.
Yesterday, Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,579.03 points, increasing by 16.36 points or 0.42%, with a trading value of THB 63.53 billion.
