Apple Signs Chinese Luxshare for Possibly iPhone 15 Production

Apple Inc will sign a contract with Luxshare Precision Industry Co Ltd as the manufacturer and assembler of iPhone 15 the upcoming, according to the industry research firm Trendforce.

Last year, Luxshare produced a small number of iPhone 14 Pro Max for the company’s lost production in Foxconn, the report added.

Luxshare was established in 2004 and became a supplier of Apple in 2011, the company made connector cables for iPhone and Macbook and also produced iPods.

Foxconn, also called Hon Hai Precision Industry, and Pegatron Corp have long been prominent suppliers of Apple. In November, Apple warned of reduced shipment of the iPhone14 as production from the plant was lower.

Trendforce said Luxshare has only one iPhone assembly plant in China, and the company has no plan to set up a production line for iPhone at its Vietnam’s plant that is currently assembling Apple accessories.
