Thailand’s Exports Shrink 14.6% in December, but Maintain Growth at 5.5% in 2022

The Ministry of Commerce announced that Thailand’s exports in December fell 14.6% YoY, worse than the market’s expectations for a 11.0% drop. Still, exports expanded 5.5% in 2022, topping expectations for a 4% rise with a trading value of 287,067 million dollars.

Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce believed that exports will pickup in 2023 as the Commerce will work with private sector to boost Thailand’s exports amid economic crisis.
