STEC Reports a 35% Drop in Profit for 2021 as Revenues Decline

Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Public Company Limited (SET: STEC) announced its 2021 consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;

STEC reported a net profit of THB710 million in 2021, decreasing 34.97 percent compared to a net profit of THB1,093 million in 2020.

Total revenues for the year 2021 was THB28,027.59 million, or decreasing by THB8,154.66 million from the year 2020, representing 22.54 percent. The decrease in total revenues resulted from the impact of the latest wave of Coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic which  has become more severe than prior year. 

The major revenues were from construction contracts, amounting to THB27,612.51 million, rental income, amounting to THB62.41 million, gain from fair value adjustment  of investment properties, amounting to THB140.89 million, and dividend income, amounting to THB118.84 million.
